Board thanks community for supplies

    On behalf of School District 27J, I would like to thank the many community members who donated to various school supply drives throughout the area. The school supplies are now being used by students throughout the school district.
    A special thank you to the following businesses and organizations who sponsored school supply drives: Vestas Corp., Santiagos, Office Depot, Channel 9, Fed Ex, Wal-Mart, Volunteers of America, Feed the Children, Adams County Employee Assistance, Brighton City Employee Charity Program, School District 27J Education Service Center employees, School District 27J Transportation Department employees, Greater Brighton Neighborhood Volunteers, and Brighton Cares, who had boxes located at the following locations: Brighton Police Department, Platte Valley Medical Center, Chick fil-A, Curves, Rumor - The Salon, Starbucks, city of Brighton City Hall, United Power, More Music and Metalwest.
    Our students greatly appreciate the generosity shown by so many in our community. Thank you.
