Coroner IDs victim of I-76 hit and run crash

Suspect still on the run

BRIGHTON -- The Adams County Coroner's Office identified the man who died Aug. 21 in a hit-and-run crash in Commerce City.

 

He was 56-year-old Harry Wunderlich Jr., of Denver. Wunderlich was struck by two cars as he was walking along I-76 near 88th Avenue.

Meantime, the search continues for a man who may know something about what happened. The Colorado State Patrol said Robert A. Lucero, 29, of Denver, is wanted for several felony charges related to the collision on I-76.

The probations department of the Colorado Department of Corrections wants Lucero for parole violations. He is a male Hispanic, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 203 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. The DOC Web site says Lucero was scheduled for a January 2013 release date.
