NORTHGLENN — Community Reach Center is offering several opportunities to receive free mental health first aid training this spring with adult and youth modules available.

The adult module covers signs, symptoms and behaviors associated with various mental health conditions for adults, and the youth module covers the same for youth ages 12 to 18.  Both modules teach the MHFA evidence-based, five-step action plan for providing basic assistance for someone experiencing a mental health crisis.

There is no tuition fee, but registration is mandatory. Attendance of the entire eight-hour course is required to receive certification. Register via www.CommunityReachCenter.org (click on the Products & Training tab). The class schedule (for adult module): 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17; 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, April 9 and 10; and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 23; (for youth module): 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 13.
