Leavitt pleads guilty in Roan murder trial

    DENVER — A man charged with being an accessory in the 2011 shooting death of Alsup Elemetary School teacher Andrea Roan pleaded guilty last week.
    Richard J. Leavitt, 28, entered a guilty plea in Denver District Court on a second-degree murder charge. He was accused of driving Ryan Miller, 28, to and from Roan’s Denver home on Dec. 16, 2011. Miller, who is awaiting trial, is accused of shooting Roan, his ex-girlfriend.
    Leavitt is scheduled to be sentenced May 13.
