COMMERCE CITY -- Police continue to investigate some suspicious activity that forced Monday's brief lockdown of an elementary school.

Police wouldn't identify the nature of the activity. Officers checked Second Creek Elementary School for any signs of suspicious activity, found none and lifted the lockdown within 15 minutes.

School District 27J spokesman Kevin Denke said all students and staff "were safe at all times."
