Make-A-Wish Colorado kickball tournament this Saturday in Commerce City

COMMERCE CITY — One of the largest kickball tournaments in the nation will get underway this weekend to help raise funds for Make-A-Wish Colorado.

The ninth annual Make-A-Wish Kickball tournament kicks out Saturday, Sept. 28, at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, 6000 Victory Way.

First pitch is at 8 a.m.

The goal of this year’s tournament, which will also mark the 30-year anniversary of Make-A-Wish Colorado, is to raise $150,000 for Make-A-Wish Colorado, which grants special requests of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to register a team of up to 15 players. Teams are required to raise a minimum of $500 on the event website at www.kickballwish.org prior to the event. Players will be treated to a fun-filled day with giveaways, a raffle, pizza lunch, a DJ and of course, kickball!
