Jeffery Gallagher, instructor with Prairie View High School’s Vocational Technologies program, describes the school’s construction curriculum to an interested parent during the school’s “Check it Out” night. One feature of Gallagher’s class stresses the importance of math in the construction industry. The yearly event gives eighth grade students and their parents an opportunity to check out a variety of programs offered to the prospective high school students.
