BRIGHTON — Platte Valley Medical Center has been named one of the nation’s Top Performers on Key Quality Measures by the Joint Commission. PVMC is one of 20 hospitals in Colorado and 1,099 hospitals in the United States earning this distinction, according to a PVMC news release.
To be named a top performer, all measures must have a performance rate of 95 percent or better. PVMC was recognized for exemplary performance and achieved excellent thresholds for heart attack, pneumonia and surgical care.
“We understand that what matters most to our patients is safe, effective care. That’s why we are committed to positive patient outcomes through evidence-based processes,” Hospital CEO John Hicks said in the release.
