Ramona Jean Gray was born in 1962, in Denver, to Jim and Mary Rose Skiver.
She moved to Hudson with her family at the age of 1. She grew up in the Hudson area and developed her love of horses, artwork and skiing. She graduated in 1980 from Weld Central High School, and was a 10-year 4-H member.
Ramona worked for Adams County for 19 years. Upon her retirement, Ramona battled stage 4 breast cancer for eight years. During that time she was able to share her love of animals, beauty of artwork and true commitment to fighting for a cure. She was a vibrant, loving and caring mother, wife and daughter.
Ramona is survived by her son, Scott Martell; husband, Jim Gray; and her parents.
Services were Jan. 23 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Augustine Catholic Church, 675 E. Egbert St., Brighton, CO 80601.
