COMMERCE CITY -- Police said they arrested two men and were continuing to look for another late Feb. 27 after a lengthy barricade situation.

No names have been released. Greeley police wanted to talk to the men in connection with a strong-arm robbery/kidnapping that happened much earlier in the day.

The incident began around 3 a.m. in Greeley. Police there said the three suspects took a Pontiac sedan during the strong-arm robbery/kidnapping. Commerce City police said they tried to contact the three men in the stolen car around 4:30 p.m. Feb. 27. One of the men fled into a house in the 7000 block of East 69th Avenue. After several hours of trying to convince the man to surrender, Commerce City SWAT officers went into the home and found him hiding inside.

The second suspect who was arrested was sitting in the front seat of the car. The third man, a Caucasian male in his 40s wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie, got away and was still at large late Feb. 27.
