COMMERCE CITY ― A woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon after police had to call in the SWAT team to serve her with a felony warrant.

Police identified the woman as 32-year-old Chrystal Morgan of Longmont. She could also face charges of refusing to leave a building on request of an officer.

The incident began around 2:30 p.m. in the 6500 block of state Highway 2. Lt. Dennis Moon said police responded to the area on a report of a disturbance in which a man supposedly was holding a gun to his head. Three people left the apartment -- two men and a woman. One of the men was the person who was armed but left the weapon inside the apartment.

When officers went in the apartment to continue their investigation, Moon was Morgan was still inside and did not want to come out because of her felony warrant. Moon said police used the SWAT team because the gun was still inside and because officers weren't sure of the woman's condition.

Morgan first went to an area hospital for treatment of what Moon called a pre-existing medical condition. She was arrested after her hospital stay. The man who held the gun to his head -- and who was not immediately identified -- also went to the hospital for an evaluation.
