Expect delays 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

ADAMS COUNTY — Repair work following an auto accident will partially close traffic on the York Street bridge this week.
The Adams County’s Public Works Department announced last week that the bridge, which crosses the South Platte River near the intersection of York Street and East 58th Avenue, will be partially closed to traffic through Thursday, May 16, as work crews make emergency repairs to the bridge rail and curb, which were damaged in a recent automobile accident.
ABCO Contracting, Inc., of Denver will restore a 25- to 30-foot length of curb and railing on the west side of the bridge. The bridge’s southbound lane will be closed to allow for the repairs, with traffic reduced to one lane on the northbound side. Flaggers will be on site from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to help minimize delays; however, motorists should allow for extra travel time when passing through the area.
In a news release, the Public Works Department urged motorists to be careful while crossing the bridge during the repair process.
