        George F. “Jeff” Waugh, 62, of Brighton, died April 15, 2012, in Denver.
        George was born Nov. 13, 1949, in Buffalo, N.Y., to James and Mary Waugh.
        Survivors include a brother, Greg Waugh (Donna), of Gilford, N.H.; a sister, Kathy Waugh, of Nashua, N.H.; and two daughters, Dana Strotheide (Andrew), of Lafayette, and Hanna Waugh, of Greeley.
        He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Imy Waugh.

  • Duane A. Addy

        Duane A. Addy, 64, of Rush, died April 24, 2012, in Denver. He was born May 16, 1947, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Alex and Francis (Silverthorne) Addy.
        He married Betty Larsen June 19, 1967, in Northglenn.
    He is survived by his wife; son, Patrick (Dionne) Addy; daughter, Melissa Addy; and seven grandchildren, Melanie, Thomas, Victoria, Emily, Joshua, Isaiah and Emilea. Duane was preceded in death by his parents.
        A funeral service was May 1 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, which handled the arrangements.

  • Jerome C. Johnson

        Veteran Jerome C. Johnson, 73, of Brighton, died April 24, 2012. He was born Dec. 13, 1938 in Sioux Falls, S.D., the son of John C. and Margaret P. (Murren) Johnson.
        He entered the U.S. Air Force in August 1959 and honorably served our country until May 1963. On April 9, 1960, he married Shirley Ann Sessions in Lansing, Mich. Jerry worked for the Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons for 30 years across the United States.

  • Jacob ‘Jake’ Bauer

        Jacob “Jake” Bauer, 87, of Greeley, died April 26, 2012, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
        He was born Aug. 19, 1924, near Fort Morgan, to Jacob and Katherine Bauer.  He graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1942.  Jake worked for the Federal Bureau of Reclamation from 1948-1954 and then worked for the Colorado Department of Transportation.  He retired from CDOT in 1984 after a 30-year career.

        Estelle Spurgin, 81, of Brighton, died April 16, 2012, in Louisville. She was born July 9, 1930, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Richard Connolly and Estelle Smail. She married Melvin Spurgin in 1979.
        Estelle is survived by four children, Donna (Daniel) Bottorff, Rebecca (Cliff) Ball, Bernard McCain and Mary Ellen (Brian) Harshbarger; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
