  • Charles A. Balczyk

        U.S. veteran Charles A. Balczyk, 91, of Brighton, passed away March 18, 2010.

        Charles attended high school at Ridge Technical High School in East Cambrige, Mass. He married Lillian Weaver in 1941 in Denver. He lived in Brighton since 1947.

        Charles served two terms in the U.S. Army and Air Corps during World World War II and post-World War I. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier for more than 20 years and retired in 1969. He also worked for the Rocky Mountain Arsenal.

  • Jeanette H. Reiva

    Jeanette H. Reiva, 76, of Sioux City, Iowa, and formerly of Fort Lupton, passed away March 17, 2010, at her home.

  • Adam M. Nunn

    Adam M. Nunn, 75, of Fort Lupton, died March 17, 2010, at his home.

        He was born Feb. 28, 1935.

        Survivors include his wife, Pat Nunn; daughters, Tricia Wilson, of Indiana, Kathy Ross, of Fort Lupton, Donna Matthews, of LaSalle; son, Adam Nunn Jr., of Northglenn; adopted children, Heather Williams, Tony Hawkins, Tammy, Tiffany, David and Billy, of Fort Lupton.

  • Jordan Culp

    Jordan Culp, 21, of Longmont, passed away March 18, 2010.

        Jordan graduated from Frederick High School in 2007. He was working as a detailer for Stevenson-Lexus in Frederick. Jordan loved animals, traveling and music, scuba diving, and was an advanced open water diver. He loved cars and loved taking care of his Subaru WRX. Jordan enjoyed hanging out with his friends of all ages and was the practical joker. He also loved spending time with his grandparents.

  • Michael Raymond Mayo

        Michael Raymond Mayo, 48, of Brighton, departed this life Feb. 26, 2010.

        He is the son of Raymond and Leanne Mayo, of Midway, Utah. Michael was born Jan. 23, 1962, in San Jose, Calif. He graduated in 1980 from Twin Falls High School in Idaho. After graduating from Utah State University, he worked for the Snake River Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  Later and to the present time, he worked for the Brighton School District. 

  • Lola Mae Pooler

        Lola Mae Pooler, 69, of Commerce City, died March 5, 2010.

        Survivors include children, Toni Gonzales, of Ardmore, Okla.; Clifford Dixon, of Commerce City; Rhonda Harris, of Neosha, Mo.; Johnny Williams, of Belton, Mo.; James Jr. Williams, of Denver; Joe Bob Ephriam, of Odesa, Texas; sisters, Mary Lou Webb, of Commerce City, Barbara Lou Liesener, of Eldora, Iowa, John Fiscus, of Hubard, Iowa; and Don Fiscus ,of Brighton.

  • Beverly Rader

    Beverly Rader, 63, of Brighton, died March 12, 2010.

        She was born Jan. 12, 1947, in Boulder.

        Survivors include her husband, Nick Rader, of Brighton; children, Joe (Traci) Rader and Andi (Dan) Ives, of Thornton; sister, Donna (Tim) Parker, of Lafayette; and brother, Dennis (Marcia) Hill, of Julesburg.

        Memorial service was March 16 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton.

  • Virgnia Mae Bezdek

    Virginia Mae Bezdek, 56, of Keenesburg, died March 10, 2010.

        Memorial services is at 11 a.m., March 18 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton.

  • Warren C. Scott

        Warren C. Scott, 76, of Weaubleau, Mo., died March 11, 2010.

        He was born Jan. 29, 1934, in Fort Lupton.

        Survivors include his companion, Cynthia Taylor;  children, Kevin Scott, of Bismark, Mo., Kelly Scott, of Dunnegan, Mo., Tracy Mason, Jackie Scott and Leslie  Scott, of Humansville, Mo.; and a brother, Rod Scott, of Brighton.

        Funeral services were March 15 at Murray Funeral Home in Humansville. Interment followed at Dunnegan Cemetery.

  • Lana Virginia Stough

    Lana Virginia Stough died Feb. 27, 2010. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jim Stough; daughter, Karen LeGrand; grandson, Brian LeGrand; sister, Marilyn (Lloyd) Brethauer; and nieces Shelly Anderson, Connie (Birkley) Bland, and Tara Osborne.
