Officials help break ground for new Suncor Boys & Girls Club

COMMERCE CITY — Where once a dirt track for dog races stood for decades, public officials and community members joined together for a ceremonial churning of earth last week.

Commerce City Mayor Sean Ford and U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-Golden) were on hand along with representatives from Suncor Energy and other local groups Tuesday, Oct. 21, for the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Suncor Boys & Girls Club on the site of the former greyhound race track.
