Black-footed ferrets settle in at Rocky Mountain Arsenal

COMMERCE CITY –The black-footed ferrets seem to be doing just fine, thank you, at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, just four months after 32 of them were released into the wild.

The prairie dogs, maybe not so much.

You see, black-footed ferrets eat prairie dogs. Each ferret can eat as many as 100 prairie dogs per year.
