Body camera data provides new perspective for Commerce City police

In three months, more than 17,000 body-camera videos have been captured by Commerce City police officers.

Some have helped prove officer accounts of disputed interactions, and others have helped the Commerce City Police Department re-train officers and address ways to better interact with the community, according to interim deputy chief Dennis Moon.

Even more, officers still are fully behind the use of body cameras, Moon said.
