    Officials are not discussing the details of raids on marijuana-growing operations around the Denver metro area April 14, including one in Brighton.

  • Man arrested for assault, domestic violence

    Commerce City police were called to the 6900 block of East 75th Place on a report of domestic violence around 1:30 p.m. March 3.

    Adams County Sheriff's Deputy Bob Trujillo, 40, was arrested for false imprisonment, third-degree assault — which implies some sort of bodily injury or pain — and domestic violence, reports said.

  • Man charged with attempted murder of Northglenn cop

        ADAMS COUNTY  — Adams County 17th Judicial District Attorney Dave Young announced Dec. 29 the filing of attempted murder charges in connection with the Dec. 19 shooting of a Northglenn police officer.

  • Man shot in 85th Place home invasion

    ADAMS COUNTY — One suspect has been arrested and police continue seeking another in an Adams County shooting from last week.
        The Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded Jan. 6 to a call of a home invasion at 1201 E. 85th Place. Deputies arrived and found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds. The male was transported to a local hospital and his condition has not been updated.

  • Two in custody after robbery, carjacking, chase

    COMMERCE CITY -- Commerce City police arrested two women in connection with a robbery and carjacking early Jan. 5.


    Police identified the pair as 22-year-old Rudi Duran and Jessica Minjarez, 25. Charges are pending. The Adams County District Attorney's Office makes the decision.

    It started near East 60th Avenue and Holly Street and ended during the morning rush hour near East 84th Avenue and Conifer Drive in unincorporated Adams County.

  • Commerce City officer charged in shooting

        COMMERCE CITY — Kevin Lord appeared in court Monday for formal advisement of charges of attempt to influence a public servant and false reporting.
        Lord was arrested Nov. 13 after claiming he had been shot at by a suspect in the 9700 block of Peoria Street Nov. 8.
        He is charged with one count of attempt to influence a public servant and one count of false reporting to authorities.

  • Aurora man charged in death of his father

        WESTMINSTER — District Attorney Dave Young, of the 17th Judicial District, announced last week that Jason Paul Beamer has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his father, Robert Beamer.
        Westminster police responding to a 911 call on Nov. 17 found Robert Beamer, 68, beaten and covered in blood at 7250 Newton Street. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital and later died of his injuries.

  • Mother charged in death of infant daughter

        THORNTON — District Attorney Dave Young, of the 17th Judicial District, announced last week the filing of charges against Marliese Marie Schreiber in the death of her 6-week-old daughter.
        The charges allege that infant Nessa Muniz drowned in a bathtub Nov. 22, at the family residence at 10521 Ashfield St., in Thornton.
