Authorities estimated more than 1,000 shoppers were on hand for the opening of Black Friday shopping at Target in the Prairie Center Thursday evening. Shoppers started lining up for the 8 p.m. opening more than 12 hours in advance. Those at the front of the line were given special tickets for the limited sale items. Target employees also regulated the numbers of shoppers entering the store for safety reasons. By 8:45 a.m. all shoppers in line were shopping.
