AURORA -- Prairie View's Aaron Frydendall captured the Eastern Metro Athletic Conference pole vault title at a rainy, damp Aurora Public Schools Stadium Friday afternoon.

His top mark was 11 feet even, just four inches better than second-place finisher Tucker Ratliff of Brighton High School. Lane Shivley of the Bulldogs was third.

Adams City's 4-by-100-meter relay team (Ovi Aragon, Sanila Seymore, Christina Folsom and Ines Alverez) placed third in a time of 58.3, more than a second off its seeding time.
