By Crystal Nelson

School District 27J officials plan to use about $8,000 in additional per-pupil revenue to cover increased operations and personnel costs in its proposed $143 million 2016-2017 budget.

The money is expected to come from a 1.2 percent inflation rate adjustment for school districts in Colorado under the School Finance Act. It amounts to an additional $84 per pupil for School District 27J this year, according to Lori Schiek, chief financial officer.
