Barr Lake hosts second bald eagle festival Feb. 8

-A A +A

In mid-February, bald eagles lay one to three eggs.  The parents take turns incubating the eggs.  If all goes well, eaglets hatch in late March.

Celebrate this unique time at Barr Lake by attending the Bald Eagle Festival starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the nature center, 13401 E. Picadilly Road in Brighton. There’ll be a live raptor presentation and crafts for kids. Guests will be shuttled on the Eagle Express to the gazebo and back or attendees can hike the three miles round trip. Please call the nature center for more information and to make reservations at 303-659-6005. All programs are free with park pass.
