Commerce City officer charged in shooting

    COMMERCE CITY — Kevin Lord appeared in court Monday for formal advisement of charges of attempt to influence a public servant and false reporting.
    Lord was arrested Nov. 13 after claiming he had been shot at by a suspect in the 9700 block of Peoria Street Nov. 8.
    He is charged with one count of attempt to influence a public servant and one count of false reporting to authorities.
    Lord is due in court at 9 a.m. Jan. 15 for a disposition hearing. He remains free on $5,000 bond.
