Football: Mountain View throttles Adams City

COMMERCE CITY -- Mountain View scored 34 unanswered points in the first half and went on to a 48-14 non-conference win at Adams City Sept. 5.


Quarterback Adam Baumann threw three touchdown passes and ran for a score. Jason Rios scored a pair of touchdowns. Adams City's Aaron Helbok threw a 22-yard scoring pass to Fabian Gutierrez for ACHS' first touchdown. Helbok and Steven Lippincott connected on a 42-yard scoring play in the fourth quarter.

Adams City takes a 1-1 record into its homecoming game against Skyview at 1 p.m., Sept. 13.
