Family, friends and community members came together Nov. 3 to honor Aries Tia Ceja Rodlin as her body was laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Commerce City.

Rodlin, who died in a car crash a week earlier, was a senior at Prairie View High School.

A crowd that numbered in the hundreds came to pay its respects. Some couldn’t get inside Our Savior Lutheran Church. All chorused “Amazing Grace” with tears in their eyes.

According to Rodlin’s family, her dream after graduation was to work at her favorite store, Ulta Beauty, while pursuing esthetician school.  She loved eating out, singing, dancing, music, movies, being goofy with her family and friends and quiet nights in at home.

“Aries was a beautiful soul,” Darcy Fuglestad, Rodlin’s aunt, said. “She liked wearing makeup and a tiara. She would look beautiful just wearing jeans and a hoodie.

“When we would ask her to help lift water, she would say, ‘I can’t do that right now.’ We all knew she didn’t want to help because she would break a nail,” Fuglestad added, drawing chuckles from her family and friends.

“She always had a beautiful smile. She touched everyone’s heart with family and friends. She went to the lord too soon, she will be loved and missed by all her family and friends.”

Survivors include her grandparents, Donna and Randy Rodlin; her mom, Stephanie Fuglestad, and father, Tom Ceja; her sisters, Sara Fuglestad, Dusti Sandoval, Leann Rodlin and Jade Fuglestad; her brother, Laz Armijo; an aunt, Darcy Fuglestad; an uncle, Josh Rodlin; three great-grandmothers; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
