It may be sometime early Wednesday, Oct. 11, before anyone can use East 60th Avenue between Clermont Street and Brighton Boulevard.

A train carrying cargo caused "severe damage" to train tracks that needs to be fixed immediately in the 4400 block of East 60th Avenue, according to Commerce City officials.

City officials said no passengers were on board the train and there were no spills or chemical releases. But the road must be closed for at least 16 hours to fix the tracks, according to a BNSF railroad officials.
