    Nicolas was born Aug.10, at Platte Valley Medical Center, in Brighton, weighing 6 pounds, and measuring 19¾ inches.

    Grandparents are Maria N. and Jorge Spreutels, of Denver, and Antonio E. Martinez Jr., of Commerce City. 

  •  Bernadette Natasha Luevano and Enrique Martinez Limon, of Montbello, announced the birth of their daughter, Izabella Luevano-Martinez Limon.

    Izabella was born July 25, at Platte Valley Medical Center, in Brighton, weighing 6 pounds, 10 ounces and measuring 19½ inches.

    Grandparents are Cisco and Tyrie Luevano, of Westminster, Enrique Limon, of Lakewood, and Misty Martinez, of Denver. 

  • Tara Ann Nunn and Joshua Thomas Bohl, of Fort Lupton, announced the birth of their daughter, Willow Justine Bohl.

    Willow was born July 23, at Platte Valley Medical Center, in Brighton, weighing 9 pounds, 2 ounces and measuring 21 inches.

    Grandparents are Adam Nunn, of Northglenn, Shirley Nunn, of Fort Lupton, Ben and Michelle Perbt, of Aurora, and Thomas Bohl, of Centennial. 

    Willow joins Damien Bohl, 15, Dominic Bhol, 19, and Joshua Thomas Bohl II, 2.

  • Ashleigh and David Turley, of Commerce City, announced the birth of their daughter, Melanie Rae Turley.

    Melanie was born July 18, at Platte Valley Medical Center, in Brighton, weighing 8 pounds, 11 ounces and measuring 21½ inches. 

    Grandparents are Dave and Karen Michel, of Broomfield, and Dale and Martha Turley, of Fort Lupton. 

  • Jessica Lynn and Sean Louis Stellish, of Commerce City, announced the birth of their son, Joel Maddox Stellish.

    Joel was born July 13, at Platte Valley Medical Center, in Brighton, weighing 6 pounds, 11 ounces and measuring 19¾ inches. 

    Grandparents are David Edward Rossman and Holly Marie Rossman, of Cape Coral, Fla., and Leslie Louis Stellish and Mary Elizabeth Stellish, of Westminster.

  • BRIGHTON — A permanent location for the Orchard Church is in the works. 

    During a June 23 special meeting, council approved the first reading of an ordinance to annex a 38.1-acre parcel of property on the northeast corner of East 120th Avenue and Peoria Street into Brighton.

  • ADAMS COUNTY — Community Reach Center, a nonprofit mental health center serving the Adams County community, announced a pair of organization-wide changes in May and June.

    In June, the nonprofit announced the addition of a new location to its system, which has a total of five outpatient facilities throughout Adams County. Community Reach Center most recently acquired a building at 1870 W. 122nd Ave., in Westminster.

  • COMMERCE CITY — Commerce City has been honored in 2015 with a “Playful City USA” designation for the seventh consecutive year. The national recognition program honored 241 cities and towns for making their communities more fun.

  • Erika Medrano and Sergion Urena, of Commerce City, announce the birth of their son, Anthony Medrano-Urena. He was born June 9, at Platte Valley Medical Center, in Brighton, weighing 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and measuring 19 inches.

    Grandparents are Marisa and Jorge Medrano, and Sergio C. and Elva Urena, all of Commerce City.
