February hearing for suspect in August murder
The suspect in the death of a 65-year-old man in August is due to return to court for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11.
Andrew Reineke, who is from Brighton, also faces two counts of an attempted murder charge and four counts of first-degree assault.
The incident happened in the 7100 block of Grape Street in August. Police said Reineke fired at them in an alley. Officers returned fire and hit Reineke six times.
Shooting suspect due in court
The suspect in a murder case is due in court for an arraignment at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1.
Jeffrey Aschenbrenner faces four counts, including the first-degree murder charge and possession of a weapon by a previous offender.
The incident happened on Nov. 27 in the 12800 block of Picadilly Road. Deputies received a report of a woman who’d been shot. They found her alive in the front seat of a car. But after arriving at an area hospital for treatment of her injuries, she passed away.
Machete attacks suspect gets hearing
Lonny McNair, the suspect in an August machete attack that left a woman dead, is due back in court for a competency hearing at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28.
McNair faces a first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of 51-year-old Bonnie Skinner.
The incident happened on Cherry Circle. A warrantless arrest affidavit said McNair was visiting from out of town at the time. The warrant said methamphetamine was involved but, at the time, no motive was available.
