Adams City faced off against Fort Collins Oct. 27 in the first round of the 5A regional playoffs at French Field in Fort Collins. The Eagles were defeated 4-2 in a gusty match but saved face by outscoring the Lambkins 2-0 in an impressive second half. ACHS finished with a record of 12-4 and its second straight trip to the postseason.
